Today we are offering our Heirloom Criollo Raw Cacao at our best pricing since 1995! Wait a minute, I was in my second year of college in 1995.
Anyway, it's only $9.95 each when you get a 3-pack of our Heirloom Raw Cacao Powder, Cacao Nibs, and Chocolate Covered Flavored Cacao Nibs. The Cacao Paste and Cacao Butter are a tad bit more at $12.50 and $13.95 when you get a 3-pack.
All of our cacao ingredients are from 100% Criollo Cacao Beans, which are all hand harvested. They are Certified Organic, and come from Heirloom Cacao Beans. This means that the seeds have been passed down from generation to generation, helping to preserve rainforest biodiversity and support sustainable livelihoods in local communities.
Furthermore, Heirloom Cacao holds more nutritional value than hybrid alternatives. This is because hybrids are bred with the purpose of yielding more cacao at a time, which results in a lower nutritional value per plant. Heirlooms are Guaranteed to be Non-GMO.
The hottest temperatures that all of these cacao products hit is 115 - 120 degrees during the fermentation process. The reason we are able to keep the temperatures so low during the fermentation process, is because we spend a longer time fermenting the beans. More time equals more fermentation.
The rest of the processing of all the ingredients, is well below even these temperatures. In fact, when processing the powder, paste, and butter, they are all pressed using cold temperatures, making it the most raw and best tasting cacao available out there today. I have personally witnessed them using a temperature gun throughout each part of the process, and it definitely lives up to the Raw Standards.
On top of all this, this cacao is fair trade certified.
Our single-origin Cacao Ingredients are sourced from small farm cooperatives in the jungles of Peru. We abide by all of the anti-corruption, labor, ethical code of conduct as well as human rights, and environmental sustainability rules.
