Works like Orlistat for Weight Loss
Published: Sun, 08/27/23
I stumbled upon a clinical study at the link here, where they found that Papaya Seed Powder can help with Obesity management just as effectively as the pharmaceutical weight loss drug called Orlistat!
Orlistat works to aid in weight loss, because it is an inhibitor of pancreatic lipase. Pancreatic lipase is an enzyme that plays an important role in the absorption of fat into the body. This enzyme is secreted by the pancreas, enters into the intestine, and breaks down triglycerides into fatty acids. Orlistat acts locally in the intestine. It works by preventing lipase enzymes from breaking down fat in the gut, and allowing it to pass through the body undigested. This in turn reduces the number of calories absorbed by the body. At the recommended dose of 120 mg three times a day, Orlistat reduces fat absorption by 30 percent.
In this clinical study, the papaya seed powder also reduced the activity of the lipase enzyme significantly. The Papaya Seed Powder has the inhibition power as big as 88.24% of 1 tablet of the Pharmaceutical weight loss drug Orlistat with the amount that they used within the study. So the study states, to get the same inhibition power as big as 1 tablet of Orlistat, the mass of papaya seed powder should be 1.42 gram. 1/4 cap of our Papaya Seed Powder is approximately 1.25 grams. Therefore, 1-2 caps of our Papaya Seed Powder should have the inhibition power equivalent to one 120mg tablet of Orlistat.
The reason Papaya Seed Powder works as well as Orlistat as a potential weight loss drug is due to the Papaya Seeds being loaded with saponins, tannins, flavonoids, and alkaloids. If you’ve ever eaten a Papaya seed, the taste is super strong and filled with energy. You know there has got to be some major natural medicinal properties within it.
Orlistat haș some nasty side effects. That’s why they studied Papaya Seed Powder to find an herbal remedy that can replace Orlistat.
Just like Orlistat, you would want to ingest 1-2 caps of our Papaya Seed Powder with all of your meals, so it binds to the fat from your food as it’s released into your gut. Rather than this fat being absorbed into your bloodstream and stored by your body, it stays bound to Papaya Seed Powder and passes completely through your system. About two thirds of dietary fat remains in your body. Therefore, the Papaya Seed Powder helps to reduce the amount of fat your body absorbs, meaning you are burning off your existing stores of fat for energy, rather than the fat you are consuming in your diet. If your meal doesn’t contain fat, then the Papaya Seed Powder is not needed.
At the same time, the Papaya Seed Powder has so many beneficial compounds, which the Orlistat definitely doesn’t have. Remember, for parasite removal, it’s always best to take Papaya Seed Powder on an empty stomach. However, I am sure it will also go to work on parasites at the same time even when taken with food.
When they recommend Orlistat, they say that it is not a miracle weight loss pill. At this point people are seeking help with their health, and they are advised to cut down their dietary calories by about 500 calories a day when taking Orlistat. They also advise them to make sure that they combine the drug with a diet containing around 30 percent calories coming from fat, because it works through inhibiting the enzyme lipase which breaks down fat. If you aren’t eating fat in your diet, then it’s useless.
They say that if you take the Orlistat, while going down 500 calories in diet, it will result in loss of 1 lb per week, which is a healthy weight loss. In clinical trial data, the average weight loss with Orlistat in comparison to placebo with 500 calorie less diet, was 50 percent higher. So if you could lose 12 pounds on a diet, which contained 500 calories less than what you consume now, you could lose up to 18 pounds with Orlistat. That’s an extra 6 pounds. They expect you to lose about 5% of your starting body weight every 3 months. So if you are about 200lbs, they expect you to lose about 10 pounds in 3 months.
According to this clinical study, all of this information above about the Orlistat, should be the same as doing this with Papaya Seed Powder. It’s not a miracle weight loss supplement. However, it has the potential to have a snow ball effect if improvements in your diet are taken at the same time. Meaning, you will most likely lose more weight with the Papaya Seed Powder when eating less calories, versus just eating less calories. It’s like cheating the process in losing weight, if you make some improvements.
The cool thing about the Papaya seed powder caps compared to the Orlistat, is that it will do so many more beneficial things to the body. Orlistat on the other hand, you’d have to say it will do so many more bad things compared to the Papaya Seed Powder, because of the nasty side effects.
Simply take 1-2 caps of the Papaya Seed Powder every time you have a meal with fat in it, in order to use it as a weight loss tool. Again, it’s not a miracle pill, but has the potential to speed up the process greatly with an improved diet.
