Hello Matt,

Here's my story with the Angela's salve.

Two years ago at the age of 67, I was diagnosed with the auto immune disease, lichen schlerosus.  It affects both young girls and old women.  Lichen is usually a very painful disease as it causes the inner labia to fuse with the outer labia.  It causes burning, itching and potential tearing of skin.  Sometimes it affects the skin around the anus.  Because it affects the vulva and sometimes the anus, it makes wearing pants difficult many days.  The worst stories I've read come from parents of young girls who are beside themselves trying to get help for their young daughters.  As difficult as it has been to have this auto immune disease (on top of others), I feel so very fortunate that I did not get it when I was young.  I cannot imagine how horrible this would be for a little girl.

Doctors typically prescribe Clobetestol, a heavy-duty corticosteroid which thins the skin.  Patients are supposed to use it once daily for 30 days upon diagnosis and thereafter once weekly.  Like many women, using it once a week wasn't enough and I couldn't wait each week until I could use the Clobetestol.  I desperately needed to find something else and began searching because I didn't want to live the rest of my life anxious for the 7th day of every week.

I wasted money on products that claimed to work specifically for lichen such as Ticklebelly and Gallixa, just to name a couple.  I did get some relief using Kauai Healing Beauty Balm, which I use on my face, but I needed to continue to use Clobetestol weekly.  I wanted to change that.

And, then I took a chance on my first jar of Angela's salve.  After my first week of use, I started to get a tiny bit excited.  Now, after using it daily for months, I seldom need to use Clobetestol.  In fact, I don't even have to use Angela's salve daily (but I still do).  I no longer have burning or itching or stinging.  I seldom have to worry about which pants I put on in the morning.  Angela's salve has been a freaking miracle for me and I am on my knees in gratitude to Angela for creating this amazing product.  Months later, I am still only half way through my first jar.  But after I discovered how much this was working, I bought 6 more jars because I never want to be without it.  I am very excited about the salve and share it with everyone I think it might help.

Just like with diet, I know, from reading of others' experiences there is no one-size-fits all approach to healing lichen.  However, I do think Angela's salve could be marketed toward the lichen community.  There have to be many others like me that could potentially benefit from its magic.  I thought you might like to know.

I'm still amazed at how Angela created this amazing healing salve.

If you think about it, the locals in Ecuador use the Matico leaves as a poultice to help all sorts of ailments.

Angela just found a ridiculously amazing way to preserve the fresh matico into this salve. It's like putting a fresh Matico poultice on whenever you use it.
