Hey Everyone!
Oria and I were in town in
Vilcabamba, Ecuador, and we ran into one of Oria’s friends and her dad. We decided to go to a cute local rock climbing place so the girls could play together.
Oria’s friend’s father started talking to me about how happy he was to see me so healthy, and how difficult it must have been to adjust to having a disease like this.
He went on to tell me how he witnessed a loved one go through something similar. He explained how there was
an adjustment period in order to learn how to deal with the disease. Firstly, there is the acceptance of it all, and then you have to learn how to survive in the best way possible in regard to the disease. He said it took them many years to get to the point of living their life normally again.
It just clicked in my head that this is exactly what I went through!
As many of you
witnessed it took me many years, 6 years, to accept, adjust, and learn how to thrive with this disease.
Many times I would get nervous that I may end up sick again, but then I finally realized that portion of my life is over now. Being sick for those 6 years wasn’t about having to be sick for the rest of my life. It was simply a 6 year learning and adjustment
period on how to thrive with this disease.
For example, I have finally accepted taking medicine in order to be healthy. Let’s just say that this medicine stops working, it doesn’t mean I have to go back into that sick state, which I was in for 6 years straight. I always have the option to go back on Prednisone which also works very effectively to prevent that sickness. I can then
utilize that drug until I find another medicine with very little side effects to take its place once again.
Furthermore, finding the perfect diet where I function extremely well was also part of this adjustment period. All of the confusion that took place when I was malnourished, and the doctors telling me that I need to eat more, and to eat more things like animal flesh, just messed me and my thinking
up.
Eating all that flesh and crazy amounts of food still did nothing for me as I didn’t gain any weight or get any better. My malnourishment had nothing to do with my diet, which I obviously learned later. It had to do with not absorbing. From being so sensitive from being on a 100% Raw Food Diet for over two decades, that heavy diet I was on, I believe was actually working against me. Right now I
am thriving on eating way less food, with zero flesh.
So, learning all of these different aspects about how to thrive with this disease was simply just a major adjustment period to get where I am at today. It was not a short transition. Now that this adjustment period is over, with all of my understanding, I believe that I will thrive for the rest of my days.
If you had a life-changing situation
that happened to you, whether you came down with a disease or had a surgery, just understand that all is a-ok. There is a major adjustment period that you may have to go through, but in the end you will be thriving the best you possibly can. Just don’t give up.
You guys, God has blessed me in such an unbelievable way. My family is as happy as can be, we have been
healed in such a big way, and we are back in Vilcabamba living together in our new house for half the year. We are doing Raw Food Retreats again, I’m back to doing videos like the old days, and as time continues to go on, this biblical-like story will continue to unfold. I’m so blessed and excited to be able to share my life with you.
I’ve been creating so
many fun 1-minute YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels, which are once again watched by thousands. They are so much fun and I keep adding a handful daily.
If you have time, please watch a couple. They are a lot of fun, and it will help me out too in getting this out to the masses again.
This opportunity, among many others, just fell right back into my lap out of nowhere. It’s like I just
got back on the saddle, and here I am.
