mg of lutein per day for eye health benefits, with 10 mg/day commonly cited for reducing age-related macular degeneration (AMD) risk and improving visual performance (e.g., contrast sensitivity, glare recovery). For example, as used in the AREDS2 gold-standard NIH study [3] , they used 10 mg
lutein + 2 mg zeaxanthin daily, showing benefits for AMD progression.
For general eye health and AMD, we want to be taking at least 10mg of Lutein, and 2mg of Zeaxanthin per day as shown in the gold-standard NIH study.
