Hey Everyone!
We’ve got our
fine ground Celtic Sea Salt, 1lb, on special this month for only $13.95 each.
What I love the most about the Celtic Sea Salt is that it is loaded with the trace minerals from the ocean.
Many of the old school Raw Food pioneers talked about getting minerals from the ocean. They stated that not all of the minerals were available in the vegetable kingdom, however, they
all are available in the ocean. This is why Dr. Ann Wigmore had everyone put seaweed in her energy soup, and why Dr. Norman Walker recommended eating seaweed and ocean water drops every single day.
Celtic Sea Salt is my number one choice of salt. No place on Earth consistently surpasses the ocean’s mineral diversity, with up to 78 bioavailable elements. Specific geological sites like salt mines or pegmatite deposits
may have higher concentrations of certain minerals (e.g., lithium, sodium), but they lack the ocean’s broad spectrum and bioavailability, making the ocean unmatched overall.
The beauty about the Celtic Sea Salt is that it comes directly from the ocean. Furthermore, unlike heavily processed salt, it retains that vast array of minerals from
the ocean.
The sodium-potassium balance in Celtic Sea Salt aids hydration. Electrolytes help regulate fluid balance in the body, potentially making it a good addition to water.
I just love its moist, briny taste for elevating dishes. The subtle complexity comes from its mineral profile and slight moisture content, which is retained from the harvesting process.
I use this stuff
endlessly. I tend to run low in Sodium due to my Ulcerative Colitis condition. Therefore, the Celtic Sea Salt is a life saver for me. It helps me with my low sodium levels, and at the same time it is loaded with the full spectrum of minerals from the ocean.
Another one of the reasons why it is so popular is because this particular Celtic Sea Salt is void of Microplastics.
If you
remember from previous newsletters, I came across this study at the link here, where they tested for Microplastics in 39 different sea salt brands. Over 90% of the Sea Salt brands tested had crazy amounts of these Nano-Microplastic particles within them.
The problem with
Microplastics, is that they get into our system. They create inflammation and other problems, because they can act as endocrine disruptors. Microplastics take about 500 years or so to break down. Therefore, we want to limit our exposure to them.
I understand that Microplastics are everywhere, including in the air that we breathe. However, if I have the ability to reduce the amount of Microplastics that I consume by
a lot, I am going to do it.
For example, in this study, the Microplastics (MP’s) for one brand of Sea Salt was 13,629 MP’s in 1 KG of salt. That is absolutely insane.
The next highest one was almost 1700 MP’s in 1KG. After that it was 718 MP’s, 402 MP’s, 366 MP’s, 354 MP’s, and so on. A good portion of these brands have well over 100 MP’s in 1KG of Sea Salt.
I do not recommend
consuming the typical sea salt from the Grocery store, unless they have this particular 'Celtic Sea Salt' brand available. Regular Sea Salt can come from polluted areas of the ocean, and chances are it will have a lot of these Microplastics within it.
In that study above, only three brands of investigated salts, Taiwan (refined sea salt), China mainland (refined rock salt), and France (unrefined sea salt produced by solar evaporation), did not
contain any microplastic particles in both replicate samples. All other salt samples contained microplastic particles.
As many of you probably know, Celtic Sea Salt comes from France, and I am pretty certain that it was the Celtic Sea Salt that didn’t contain any microplastics in the study. From being in this industry for so long, I know the owner at the Celtic Sea Salt company. We have met at various trade shows on the circuit now and again. So, I
contacted her.
Keep in mind that they are a very natural and conscious company. They have 8 different kinds of sea and cave salts from all around the world that they sell. Only two of them contain zero Microplastics.
I just wanted their Celtic Sea Salt from France, and it just so happens that their fine ground Celtic Sea Salt was one of the two that tested to have zero
Microplastics just as the study conveyed.
Their coarse Celtic Sea Salt only had a number of 6 MP’s in a KG, which is absolutely nothing, especially if compared to all these other Sea Salts in this study that were in the hundreds and thousands. This small number of 6 MP’s, may have even been from the air, that number is so low.
Anyhow, we’ve got the mineral-rich
Celtic Sea Salt Fine Ground on special for only $13.95 through the end of the month.
