Hey Everyone,
It’s been quite
awhile since I’ve given a health update.
I’ve been doing so darn well, there just hasn’t been a need.
However, I did get back to the United States, took all sorts of tests, including a Bone Density DEXA scan and blood tests, which I'll share the results further below.
Since we just got back to the states, I have some updates beyond just health.
For example, my family and I are going on a road
trip! Guess where we are going?
We are flying into Denver, Colorado and renting a car. Oria is hanging out with her friend there for a day or two and then we head to Salt Lake City, Utah. That drive from Denver to Salt Lake City is one of the most gorgeous car rides you can take in the states.
You are probably wondering what we are going to do in Salt Lake City, Utah?
Well,
that’s right where Liquadry is!
Liquadry is the company, who has the only technology on earth, which has the ability to make truly raw juice powders. As I was planning this trip, I was talking with Stuart the main guy who knows all the ins and outs of everything at Liquadry.
He’s not only taking me on a full tour of the Liquadry facility, where we’ll film each step of the
process — from harvesting, to cold-press juicing, to the final drying of the juices — but we’re also driving up into the mountains to see the pristine mineral-rich water source that nourishes their crops. I’ll be filming everything, and trust me, you’re going to be absolutely mind-blown.
I’m praying the weather cooperates so none of this trip goes to waste. Regardless, we’ll film as much as we can, even if a storm
rolls in. I’m just hoping for the best — especially for clear skies during the drive up the mountain and the hike through it.
If the weather cooperates, we’ll get to see the actual volcanic mineral deposits, explore how the valley was once an ancient seabed, and witness the powerful watershed that continuously renews the soil with fresh, living minerals. This watershed carries heavy rainfall and runoff
from the surrounding high-desert mountains and plateaus into the valley — forming a natural river system. There, the water slowly evaporates in the dry desert air, leaving behind a rich supply of bioavailable minerals that have been feeding the earth, season after season, for more than 10,000 years.
I talked to Stuart for about an hour the other night discussing our trip, and he was telling me that the minerals from this water are
so fine that the plants can easily uptake it. This makes the juice powder more bioavailable, giving better PH balance in our gut, and providing powerful electrolytes for optimal cellular function.
I asked him how this “severe watershed” produces such fine, bioavailable minerals. He chuckled and said that no company or lab process can match what Mother Nature does. It starts with constant cycles of rain,
freezing, thawing, cracking, and sun-baking high in the mountains. These forces slowly leach minerals from ancient volcanic rock and seabed sediments. The freed minerals dissolve into runoff, get taken up by plants, break down again, and re-enter the water. Rivers then flow downhill, constantly absorbing and grinding more minerals into ultra-fine, ionic particles. Everything gets churned, filtered, and refined over thousands of miles and years —
all part of the living story that ends in the valley’s extraordinary soil.
I should have ended the conversation right there — because what he said next was deeply disturbing, and I grilled him on it.
Stuart explained that most companies making vegetable juice powders or whole-vegetable powders actually rely on leftovers from other industries. For instance, when baby carrots are made, they’re shaved down like pencils to
achieve a uniform size. When vegetables like beets or carrots are canned, cooked, or pickled, their skins are peeled off and discarded. Even the “ugly” vegetables that don’t meet retail standards get tossed aside — and all those scraps end up being repurposed for juicing or drying.
But here’s the shocking part: those discards aren’t thrown away — they’re used. The peels, scraps, and leftovers are sent off to be juiced or dried. Because these parts are
often contaminated, they must be heavily pasteurized to kill off microbes from the dirtiest outer layers. The result is a lifeless powder — not the full spectrum of the vegetable, and certainly not living nutrition.
For all 19 of our Juice Powders on our website, which we get from
Liquadry, the entire vegetation is used. They don't peel the carrots or beets, they just scrub them really well, which retains the valuable nutrients in the skin. For example, the falcarinol in the carrot is concentrated mainly in the skin and just beneath it. Studies have shown that the highest levels of falcarinol and falcarindiol (its related compounds) are found in the peel and the outer 1–2 mm of the carrot. When carrots are peeled, the total falcarinol
content can drop by 30–50% depending on how thickly they’re peeled. With our Juice Powders, you can be rest assured that you’re getting the full living spectrum of nutrition — just as nature intended.
We finished off the call with an incredible tasting juice recipe that he made that morning with all of his Juice Powders.
He took the following:
2 tablespoons of Tart Cherry Juice Powder
1/2
Tablespoon of Carrot Juice Powder
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
Honey
lemon Juice Powder
All put into sparkling water
That does sound pretty darn good!
I’m really looking forward to this trip — especially to seeing the massive single-auger cold-press juicer, which is actually bigger than I am! I’m also excited to watch the fresh juice go straight into the BioActive Dehydration process and
emerge as a fine powder. And if possible, I’m definitely going to try a sip of the juice right on the spot!
After this we'll be driving to California to see my mom. We'll also stop in Vegas for a day or two and see a show at 'The Sphere'. I heard it's the best.
After that we'll fly back to Florida.
Obviously my health is doing outstanding if I can do all this!
Some of you who watch my
daily videos on YouTube or Facebook might be a little confused, since everything you’re seeing still takes place in Vilcabamba. That’s because I filmed so many videos while I was there — enough content to last another month or two before we run out. We haven’t even released the retreat videos yet, which will start coming out in a month or so. After that, you’ll start seeing footage from here in the States. I’m filming far fewer videos now, so before long we’ll
finally catch up to real time.
Anyhow, I got my blood tests and DEXA Scan for Osteoporosis just these last couple of weeks.
My hemoglobin is still pretty low, but I’m back to walking 4–5 miles every day. When it was really low, I couldn’t even make it across the house without collapsing onto the couch, completely out of breath. Furthermore, my past walking route went all the way around the long block here. Now, I’ve shortened the
loop so I can hit the big hill multiple times — climbing it 5 or 6 times instead of just once or twice. In Vilcabamba, we live on a mountain so I built up so much strength to where I can handle this hill many times on my walk with no problems.
My osteoporosis scores improved by 1.8% in my spine, .8% in my hip, but it went down 1.2% in my other hip.
Keep in mind I was bed ridden only 7 months ago on prednisone which
kills your bones. It's one of the reasons I have osteoporosis.
For the last 6 months I have recovered in a miraculous way.
I was so fragile before, and now I am so much stronger. Anything could injure me before, but that's not the case anymore.
I'm now on a mission with my exercise routine and diet to get my bones back in line.
Now that I am on medicine and thriving, I feel that I can get my bones into way better
shape.
I'm no longer on Prednisone and my malabsorption issues have diminished greatly.
They say that a 2% increase per year in BMD is possible, and I hope to do that in all areas with what I am doing.
I feel like I am working against time, because this medicine that I am on generally doesn't work beyond 3-5 years.
Anything can happen but, I really want to get my bones in line before this medicine stops
working.
I can find another medicine when this one stops working, but I would most likely need to go on Prednisone again as I go through tests and paperwork to get approved by insurance for a new drug. That's why I'm looking to get my bones into the best shape I possibly can over the next few years since I'm in great shape now.
I have so much energy, and I'm going at it all day long trying to work on my Bone
Mineral Density. I do my 4-5 mile walk daily and then I even do hip exercises for my Osteoporosis. It's truly a miracle.
My medical insurance only allows me to get a DEXA Scan every two years. Therefore, we'll see my new BMD results then. I have a really good feeling about it!
I’m feeling great with my health, and I’m doing everything I possibly can to prepare for the future. My goal is to
get myself into the best shape possible so that I can enter old age strong, healthy, and resilient.
As usual, my diet is impeccable as can be.
I know that it's not much news about my health. However, no news is good news!
Anyhow, all going well, we'll have those videos for you of my visit at Liquadry by the end of the month.
