Hey Everyone!
All of the Alpaca Blankets
have arrived, and they have been shipped out to everyone.
Additionally, I brought an extra 200 blankets for people to purchase for the holidays!
They are available right now!
However, I had to raise the price from $65 to $86 due to the new crazy security in regard to customs.
You would not believe what is going on out there in the airports in regard to
international flights.
We brought down 200 blankets in duffles like the last time, and got billed for almost $10,000 in customs, even though we said they were gifts. It was very scary, and I’m just thankful that we broke even on those blankets.
Anyhow, this is why I had to raise the cost $20 for each of these new blankets that just came in. It was absolute chaos.
The good news is
that I worked out the entire workflow of getting the Alpaca Blankets made, shipped to the main city in Ecuador, Quito, and then importing them into the states from there. It’s a flawless workflow now, but the cost is a bit higher now.
The beauty of this venture is that it gives such support to the locals, and we’ll try to keep it going for them. In the PS section below, you can see how we visited the family who makes these blankets from
Otavalo.
Last time we offered about 30-40 different colors of blankets. Sometimes we sold 35 of one color blanket and only 2 of another.
This made it a bit complicated for the Artisans.
Therefore, for these 200 extra blankets that just arrived, I took the top 8 selling colors that we had on our website and I got about 25-30 of each of these colors. They were way more popular than every other
color so I think you guys will love them.
I believe that there is a high chance that they will just sell out instantly like the last time, so you might want to go grab them ASAP.
These blankets are the absolute perfect gift for the holidays. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want one of these Super Nice cozy warm blankets.
Below in this first picture here are the colors of the blankets that we have available at this time. We also have a
couple of other colors, but just 1 or 2 of each of them. Then the next pictures are some examples of my daughters holding the blankets up and using them.
