This small family farm off the coast of Peru is called Olivico, and they started their olive plantations in 1990. The water, air, and everything is so pure, clean, and untouched, where animals just roam wild in the breathtaking lush mountains.
They don't use any pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or
any other type of agrochemical. All olive pest and disease controls are carried out ecologically through the release of beneficial insects, light traps, pest capture mechanisms, and the use of repellent bio-oils. These bio-oils are made right there on the farm using their olive extract, olive leaf and olive oil.
As many of you know, these Peruvian Olives have a super strong addictive taste, which can take a salad to an
entire new level of flavor. I just love the intense flavor. There aren’t too many grandeur flavors in all of the raw foods available to choose from. This is definitely one of them. You can also just eat them straight from the bag, they are so good.
Here is what Doug had to say about these olives, "The Peruvian olives are so amazing I ordered a bunch for my family. They are the caviar of
olives!"
