As seen in the studies [1], [2], and [3], research suggests that low boron intake is surprisingly common—especially among people who eat a processed, low‑fruit/veggie diet, live in regions with boron‑poor soil, rarely consume nuts, legumes, or avocados, or
are elderly and have impaired nutrient absorption.
In fact, intakes under 1 mg/day are not unusual, while study-backed benefits generally require 3–10 mg/day—well above what most people get.
