Get ready to indulge in these perfectly ripe, freeze-dried delights — they are absolutely incredible!
For those who aren’t familiar, Durian is known as the “King of Fruits” — or, more humorously, the “Stinky Fruit” lol.You either
hate it or become
absolutely addicted, just like me. People
who eat a clean, whole-food diet usually fall in love with it, while the mainstream can’t stand it. I’ve even brought this stinky fruit to family events — and only my grandma ever liked it lol.
Its infamous aroma comes from
high sulfur content and other compounds like
spermidine, which can make it smell like rotten eggs or onions to some. But for lovers like me? Breathing in that scent is like a hit of the
most addictive smell molecules in the
world.
Taste-wise, Durian is pure magic. For me, it’s like
vanilla ice cream with a hint of caramel. On a raw vegan diet, where variety is limited, Durian stands out as a
rare delicacy — its unique texture, creaminess, and naturally high fat content make it perfect for recreating the indulgence of ice cream
without any dairy. Bonus: it’s a
mono-meal, meaning it’s satisfying on its own.
Here’s how to make
Raw Durian Ice Cream using our freeze-dried Durian:
1. Blend the Durian pieces into a fine powder. If you’re trying this recipe, the
smaller pieces at the lower price are perfect.
2. Pour the powder into your blender until it reaches the
16oz line. Remove the powder, then fill the blender with
coconut water or water up to the
same 16oz line — it’s a 1:1
ratio.
3. Return the powder to the liquid and
blend until smooth.
4. Freeze the mixture in
mason jars. When ready to eat, let it thaw for about
an hour, and you’ll have
the best raw Durian ice cream ever. It literally tastes like the
freshest, ripest frozen Durian you could imagine.
I used to make a cereal with almond milk, chopped figs, and walnuts, and
then toss in these Durian pieces as if they were marshmallows. They start out crunchy and gradually soften in the almond milk. Both textures are amazing — crunchy at first, then soft and creamy. And if you want that crunch back, just add a few more Durian pieces, lol. It’s endlessly satisfying.
Freeze-dried Durian is also incredible eaten straight. You can crunch it immediately, or let it slowly soften in your mouth as your saliva transforms it into a creamy,
melt-in-your-mouth consistency. Eating it crunchy is instant gratification, but savoring it slowly is like finding a way to keep that amazing Durian flavor lingering for a long time. Yeah, I might have a slight obsession, lol.
Our freeze-dried Durian is nothing short of a miracle for anyone who doesn’t have access to fresh fruit. It’s always freeze-dried at its
peak ripe state, which is a huge advantage. With frozen Durian, you can easily hit or miss on
ripeness, but with this, you’re guaranteed that perfect flavor every time.
Just to be clear, our freeze-dried Durian contains only one ingredient — 100% Durian. There are no preservatives, additives, or anything else in these bags.
Durian is incredibly nutrient-dense compared to most other fruits. One cup of fresh Durian provides roughly the same nutrients as about
1/3 cup of our freeze-dried Durian. Here’s the

One reason so many of us are addicted to this Freeze-Dried Durian is that it tastes ridiculously good — and it makes us feel amazing, thanks to its high content of the amino acid tryptophan. If you eat a lot, it can almost feel like a natural mood-lifter, giving
you a sense of bliss and relaxation.
